Daddy's Boy

Thomas is a big time Daddy's boy. He always has been. For the most part I think it's wonderful and I'm so thankful that they have such a wonderful relationship, but at times it makes me sad. I think we have a great relationship too and I know he loves me, but he's all about his Daddy. It hit me last night because Mike had to work REALLY late and wasn't here to put the boys to bed. Thomas was really upset about it, then I was upset that he wouldn't let me do it alone. Our usual routine (which is way too long!) is Mike telling him stories, then I go in and read him 3 books, then Mike goes back in and rubs his back until he falls asleep. He is really into his routines so I'm sure that had something to do with it too, but he really missed his Daddy.

Luckily Griffin is a Momma's boy and so far Lucas is too (although I am his food source so Mike doesn't really have a chance yet). It's probably a blessing that all 3 aren't momma's boys b/c it gets me out of some stuff ;)
