Changes

Yesterday I got an alumni magazine from the university we went to and it had an article interviewing past students about how things were when they were there, going back 50yrs I think. It made me realize how much things have changed even since I was there. I started college in 1995. I don't think I had ever used the internet until then. We had a computer in our dorm room and the internet we had was just a black screen with text, no pictures. We really only used it for email (school account) and that was pretty rare. I didn't really use the internet until my junior year when I got a yahoo email account so I could keep in touch with Erica when she was studying abroad. Then I used it a little bit for planning my wedding and planning a trip to visit Erica, but that was about it. Now it seems like you can do everything on the internet and you can access it anywhere. I also remember how rare cell phones seemed then. A few girls on our floor had them and I thought it seemed like such a luxury, now everyone has them. It really doesn't seem like that long ago that I was in college, but when I think of how much things like that have changed I realize it has been awhile. I can't even imagine how things will change over the next 10-15 years!
