Maxwell Joseph arrived on March 24 at 9:42a.m. He was 8lbs 13oz and 21.5in. We were surprised by his weight b/c the other boys were a pound or more less than that. Everything went well during delivery. He had to be monitored in NICU for about an hour for some minor breathing issues, but luckily everything was fine so he wasn't gone long. Other than that everything went great. Breastfeeding is going well, luckily he figured it out right away. His big brothers are in love with him. Lucas is so excited about him and loves to hug and kiss him.
Today was his 1wk appt. He was 8lbs when we left the hospital and is up to 8lbs 5oz now. The dr said he looks great. We go back next week for a weight check. The first several days he was eating constantly and didn't like to be put down, but he seems more content the last 2 days. He even slept good last night. He only woke up once last night! Such a nice change from feeling like I was feeding him all night the previous nights. I'm not counting on that lasting but I felt great this morning after getting some sleep. Mike goes back to work tomorrow (I'm REALLY dreading it) so getting more sleep would be really nice!

He's such a sweetie! We had that same outfit for Jack. I loved it. I wish he could have worn it longer. Sleep, Max, sleep so your momma can get some rest. :)
